The Advertising Manager is responsible for the development, execution and evaluation of paid media advertising plans aligned to brand & product strategies that deliver against business priorities. This position will have expertise specifically in TV and digital advertising. In addition, they will partner with other advertising and marketing managers to support cross-functional marketing efforts. 


Responsibilities include the development and coordination of media plans and assets for product lines that will be leveraged in TV and digital channels, aligning with overarching campaigns.

  • Manage majority of day-to-day media agency relationship and communications across all phases of advertising
  • Provide strategic input to agency in annual media strategy setting meetings based on prior year performance, marketplace trends and business insights
  • Coordinate and evaluate TV and digital strategies and tactical plans with specific focus on TV and digital deliverables providing feedback on flighting across tactics, reach and frequency strategies, maximizing GRPs taking into consideration toy industry trends, marketplace activity and media consumption trends for both adult and child facing TV partners
  • Coordinate and evaluate digital strategies and tactical plans with specific focus on digital deliverables at all levels of the purchase funnel, with demonstrated understanding of KPI differentiation and evaluation based on differing vendor objectives within the plans
  • Project manage internal creative team on development of digital advertising assets from briefing to execution, delivering on paid tactical plans
  • Partner with internal teams to provide detail on digital video/streaming media so that locally produced video assets are contextually appropriate and deliver on overarching marketing campaign themes.
  • Support leadership on TV creative development with external creative agency by coordinating creative concept presentations, assets, clearance and final files
  • Oversee creative development of digital creative assets, with strong project management and attention to detail around media partner requirements, communicating creative specs for creative development and delivery to ensure on time asset delivery and media live dates
  • Lead ongoing media reporting calls in-season and oversee agency implementation of partner and creative cuts and optimizations based on pacing and KPI delivery
  • Demonstrate a baseline understanding of regulatory requirements around advertising to children, COPPA compliance that are applied to media and creative evaluation
  • Manage successful relationships with internal departments as well as external partners (colleagues overseas, agencies, etc)
  • Collaborate on budget prioritization for digital initiatives within the total marketing budget
  • Showcase media plans and results in departmental presentations and as needed for leadership requests 


  • 5+ years of paid media and advertising experience
  • Experience managing external marketing agencies (media and creative) required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization, to include communication to execution teams and presentations to senior leadership
  • Ability to drive complex projects with minimal supervision in a multi-tasking environment
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Lotus Notes
  • BA or BS


Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field, and 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in the area of consumer goods marketing/advertising; or any combination of experience and education that provides the necessary skills, knowledge and ability to perform assigned tasks.
