The Vice President of Sales at VTech is responsible for all major facets of North American business as it relates to the sales of VTech and Leapfrog's Electronic Learning Products. Responsibilities include working closely with Hong Kong management in defining long-term strategy, leading the US Sales team and customer representatives, executing and delivering results according to sales plan and managing and increasing sales with key retail partners, distributors and eCommerce.



    • Meet or exceed sales goals
    • Recommend and develop sales strategy, budget and programs to support VTech's goals
    • Sell and develop strategies to expand business in new accounts and grow revenue within the existing client base
    • Build retail partnerships with clients to maximize value and grow profitable sales
    • Provide clear direction to sales team
    • Coach and assist sales team "hands on" in strategy and tactics of the sales process: prospecting, product demonstrations, line reviews, negotiating, and closing
    • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities
    • Provide feedback regarding market opportunities, trends, competition, etc.
    • Negotiate contracts, collaborate ont he development of marketing plans and monitor achievement against plan.



  • Experience selling to Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 retailers
  • A strong "metrics driven" approach to sales management with close attention to daily activity
  • A demonstrated ability to lead a high impact sales organization. This leader should be very hands on and enjoy interacting with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive approach to problem solving
  • Assertive and decisive while maintaining a team-based approach
  • The ability to work in a matrix cross functional management environment
  • Ideal candidate has prior experience working directly with an Asian based organization



Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, and 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in the area of Sales with a strong background in Consumer Products or Hard Goods, with a minimum of 5 years executive level sales experience; or any combination of experience and education that provides the necessary skills, knowledge and ability to perform assigned tasks. Masters Degree is desirable.
